Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

            —for men named Sue

I lifted weights

And my hair grew back!

Those muscle curls though

Almost broke my back!

I had to think

So I squeezed my head

It almost popped

When my face turned red!

Long and shiny

Headed for healing

No longer bald

But my arms were bleeding!

Lifting my face into a smile

Made my hair grow thick

And something wild.

Strong with might

Determined to grow

I knew I could heal it!

Those doctors don’t know!
