Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

 10am Yoga!

Cookie hangover

How white your shirts can be.

I need bad food before

My workouts. And between.

I resolve to eat sugar

So I don’t work within.

Seek comfort in the warmth

Of the microwave

And get really thin.

In the aisles,

I’ll shade my eyelids.

Near the fruit,

I’ll skip the nectar.

When I pause to

Look at my reflection,

I’ll buy mascara

I’ll have no one

To compare of.

The beauty mask

Is my last resort,

And it’s where

I draw the line.

How long am I supposed to keep it on!?

I now believe compliments are wrong.

And have been all this time.
