Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

He’s got a certain crook

In his chin

And his nose

Makes me comfy.

That’s where my lips go.

The mandibles.

Oh my, a classic beauty

And a kiss he stole.

How would you ever think

They’re yours?

Since I’ve gone broke

For what I love

The man in the hoodie

At the grab-and-go

Gets a pat of reassurance

As I distract my insurance

I flagged him down

Since he was the only man

In a hoodie

And asked what he thought

Of my grab and go.

He yelled out to me:

“But I go broke for what I love!

God is going to give me what I’ve earned by now!”
