He’s not my father
I am not his mother
My sisters rage
My brothers are my brothers
Never mind.
There is something
To be gained
For a family outside
A physical orbit
To a space
Of the next order.
We all may wear different colors
We may not all want to be the same
Fighting over making a home
Then leaving each other alone.
On truthful medication,
Feeling slowly sedated
Just trying to make it
Doing it for the home
We created
My father is your mother
My mother is at home
My sisters don’t get it
My brothers are our brothers
And they do it alone.
