Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

Do you believe there could be human error in your midst?

Do you ignore those subtle promptings

And go along with it?

We are on a roll in the world!

All you have is how you treat people

For only what is in your heart

Attract the ones who greet you.

Lost the feeling of myself on the outside.

This time I’m gonna take a tour

Instead of looking at the floor.

I need you to be perfect

Even though I’m not.

For today only, will you

Try to anger and worry, not?

You are like a teardrop in my heart

My heart squeezes the Alphabet

So gripping

To try and say things

That do not hurt,

To convey the special feelings

Inside me that do not stop.

Mind the rhythms

I hem and cough

If it were only not

For my stomach

Just keep the watery eyes

—-Heal and Rock—-

I still have hard feelings,

But no bad bones

The most successful long-distance relationship is between God and the Earth when He never leaves us alone.

You have the forethought to Dream, then have the hindsight for me. May that day arrive, finally.

Fucked it up to perfection.

Did you notice?

The music

Lilts

A listless dancing

The body’s perfection

To the atonal rhythm.

Momma’s screaming with a frail neck

We’re lying bone to bone

I could no longer use this crutch

So I fled far enough to roam.

Found a place to run and hide

The damning chorus in my ear

Echoes kept my eyes cast low

Kept me disbelieving all the more.

For now I have my place to run

My pale sheltered home.

(All of them relate as the mind is running tape)

But for Resilience sake

Tight gripped for sorrow meets expectation

Expectation meets sorrow

Bring me night love

We’re open like flowers

An image that bright.

Defies explanation.
