Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

Starting to turn

Into a friend.

The spells

Until they’re crossed.

That was too short

That’s all I remember

Devil in an armchair

Jesus only standing there

Angels in a coffin

Politicians walking

Around somewhere

Takers talking

With the wind in their hair.

Talkers taking

The wind somewhere.

Cross-eyed puzzles

Sensual despair.

That was too short

That’s all I remember

Starting to turn to a friend

Devil beware.

I have a mind to

Kick evil at every move it makes

So it never wants to return

Father the gate keeper

Making sure there is new earth

Established new ground

To make sure they’re exported

For never exploring

For the ways they were

Flies on a yawn 🥱
