Muscle Poems

Revenge of the Heard

By and by a woman who writes love poems to men

Today, complete selfishness

Married itself.

Who gives a shit?

To be married

To yourself

And another human being is

The biggest risk.

And then,

To want to stare at

Faces all day.

At night, we party

Our whole lives away.

The written speech

Doesn’t get spoken.

Then you know

Feeling gets first place.

It takes up the whole space.

What was that you

Really wanted?

Someone who knows themselves…

Digging deeper meant to me

That I wanted to know everything

About and outside of me.

I was therefore

Easily seduced.

Tell the Truth!

This is something that

Can hurt me.

Tell them not to do

It to you anymore.

You’re rewriting the script

And if you allow it,

If you allow it,

Make sure you know the door.

I know

It can’t be as scary as the pattern,

But,

What came from before

Can happen

In a worse form.

You are responsible

To the future, forevermore.

Our love started to forge

In the path of pain.

The best kind of love.

When we learned how to

Overcome it,

There was no more

Reason to complain,

The reality is that we only

Love each other the more.

One day,

And in all the time it takes

To get there,

You will see someone

Playing your music so brilliantly,

And without the same score.

The gratitude you will feel

Will

Make the music in your own heart soar.

And there’ll you Be.

Going after,

And from coming before,

A happier movie

Forevermore.

In bed, with toes

Like yours.
